Marafiki Pamoja

At Marafiki Pamoja, we believe that every child deserves a safe, enriching environment where they can learn, play, and grow into healthy, caring, and resilient adults. With a variety of community partnerships in Ngando, Nairobi, we support students, teachers, and volunteers at Bright Star Academy with programs that nourish both body and spirit – providing access to education, nutritious meals, and opportunities for growth and connection. Our work is grounded in community empowerment. By reducing hunger and supporting education and learning, we help children and families build the skills and confidence to strengthen their own communities through service to others.

Our Programs

Camp Marafiki Pamoja

Each August, our two-week camp welcomes about 100 children for days filled with creativity, friendship, and fun. Camp offers a safe space for learning and laughter – empowering young people to be compassionate global citizens. Campers enjoy nutritious meals, receive basic hygiene supplies, and engage in educational activities that foster joy and confidence.

Food Sponsorship Program

Help us provide daily lunches for every student at Bright Star Academy

• $ 35 covers one meal for the entire school
• $135 supports one meal per month for a school term.
• $400 sustains that support for a full year.

When school is not in session, your donation helps maintain vital operations that keep the school running.

School Operations

Your contributions also help us support the dedicated teachers and kitchen staff who make Bright Star thrive. Supplemental salaries, clean water, rent, and school supplies all come from generous donors like you. Each gift, no matter the size, directly strengthens the foundation of this learning community.
